Job Summary

The Recruiter for the People & Culture department will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization for all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Partner with hiring managers and department heads to understand specific job requirements, team dynamics, and organizational culture to create accurate and appealing job descriptions and develop tailored recruiting strategies for each role.
  • Post job openings on appropriate job boards, company website, and social media platforms. Actively search for candidates through networking, LinkedIn, and other relevant professional channels to build a strong pipeline of potential hires.
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other People & Culture staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Assist in the negotiation of offers, including salary, benefits, and other contractual terms, ensuring alignment with organizational compensation strategies. Facilitate communication between the candidate and the hiring team to ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance to onboarding.
  • Utilize internal applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage candidate pipelines, streamline interview scheduling, and ensure timely follow-up with applicants. Stay updated on new HR technologies and tools to improve the recruitment process.
  • Assist with drafting of detailed and accurate job descriptions, the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Screen applications and select qualified candidates.
  • Schedule interviews; oversee preparation of interview questions and other hiring criteria and selection materials.
  • Ensure a positive and transparent experience for candidates throughout the recruitment process by providing timely updates, answering questions, and facilitating smooth interview coordination. Act as a brand ambassador, reflecting the organization’s values in all communications.
  • Work closely with marketing and communication teams to strengthen the organization’s employer brand on social media, job boards, and professional networks. Promote the company’s culture and values to potential candidates through compelling messaging and engaging content.
  • Attend and participate in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Track and analyze key recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, quality of hire, and candidate satisfaction. Provide monthly or quarterly reports to management, offering insights and recommendations for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment process.
  • Assist with new-hire orientations, as needed, a backup to the P&C coordinator.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • File documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Make photocopies; mail, scan, and email documents; and perform other clerical functions.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

Required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least two years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.

Preferred

  • At least five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process in public accounting or professional services industries highly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred. SHRM’s Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
  • Experience with UKG PRO and UKG ATS.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
