Summary Description
The Controller is in charge of managing and maintaining good finances for the company. The prime responsibilities of the Controller include entering purchases and bills into QuickBooks, making sure bills are paid in a timely manner and ensuring the organization is compliant with all tax laws.
Specific Responsibilities
The following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all duties listed and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.
· Track, gather, and prepare reports for management.
· Maintain check supply
· Manage Expensify
· Reconcile vendor accounts monthly
· Pay all bills in a timely manner (utilize Month-End memorized report)
· Coordinate debit and credit adjustments and pertinent documentation
· Generate purchase orders for employees working on jobs
· Ensure Sub-contractor certificates of insurance are up to date
· Complete and send out W-2s and 1099s to employees and miscellaneous income tax to subcontractors.
· Request, receive, and distribute lien releases as needed
· Setup and maintain budgets
· Employee credit card transaction management
· Close job files to determine profitability and ensure all time and receipts have been posted appropriately
· Enter new vehicles and equipment assets in QuickBooks
· Set up memorized transactions
· Fuel card transaction management
· File worker’s compensation reports monthly
· Prepare financial reports as required
· Monitor internal controls
· Streamline accounting functions
· Ensure tax compliance
· Keep abreast of best practices in accounting and finance
· Renew Annual Registration GA SOS for all companies
- Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets as well as actual expenditures
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
