The Director of Quality Assurance will serve as a pivotal leader within the Quality Assurance team, acting as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters involving suppliers, co-manufacturers, and distribution partners. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining high standards for food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance throughout the supply chain. The selected candidate will be instrumental in building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to ensure quality expectations and values are consistently met.
Essential Functions :
- Lead and mentor the Quality Assurance team, guiding QA Regulatory Specialists to achieve high performance and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Develop and refine quality programs, driving continuous improvement to meet evolving business and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the Positive Release Program, ensuring that only approved batches are released to prevent compromised products.
- Conduct and lead on-site audits of co-manufacturers and key suppliers, ensuring compliance with established quality standards.
- Maintain regulatory compliance across all products, collaborating with the QA Regulatory Specialist to align with current regulations and standards.
- Manage consumer feedback and complaints, using insights to drive product quality improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Ensure comprehensive traceability of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, with well-defined recall procedures.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Marketing teams on new product launches and promotional initiatives to ensure alignment with quality standards.
- Oversee hold and non-conformance programs across co-manufacturers and distribution centers to mitigate risks and minimize product losses.
- Manage prerequisite programs with ingredient suppliers, packaging vendors, and co-manufacturers to uphold food safety and legal compliance.
