Job Summary
We're seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Operator to join our East Greenville team. The ideal candidate will be a champion of process efficiency and accuracy in warehouse deliveries, packing, and shipments. They should possess a strong interest in warehouse operations, logistics, or management, and demonstrate dependability, attention to detail, and excellent verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee warehouse materials by performing all product loading and unloading tasks.
- Manage the loading, labeling, weighing, and packing of domestic and overseas transportation.
- Receive materials and make decisions regarding storage locations, sorting, and consolidating.
- Accurately scan, weigh, and document material according to procedures.
- Operate equipment/machinery such as forklifts, stretch wrapping machines, scanners, and radio frequency equipment.
- Work closely with supervisors to advise on damaged items, repairs, overflow stock, or discrepancies.
- Closely document warehouse inventory and activities, including machine operational status, forklift inspection forms, quality, and safety reports.
- Maintain daily production schedules and recommend changes to optimize service goals.
- Embrace learning opportunities, such as operating swing reach trucks (under guided conditions) or new machinery.
- Encourage an orderly, safe workspace among team members and perform daily housekeeping tasks.
- Uphold all Knoll safety and OSHA standards, including wearing personal protective equipment.
Required Skills:
- The ability to perform diversified manual work of a repetitive, fast-paced nature.
- Ability to handle/adjust products, perform heavy lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting.
- Comfortable working in closed, confined spaces if required.
- The ability to work in a high humidity environment.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
Required Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED), or work experience demonstrating performance competency.
- The ability to read and interpret paperwork associated with all job assignments.
- Ability to work on one's feet and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Attention to detail for identifying discrepancies and safety concerns.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates dependability and punctuality.
- Forklift - Class I Certification.
- Stand-up Reach Truck experience a plus.
