What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal/Legal Assistant position at Millich Law?
Duties:
- Must know Word and Excel
- File and organize legal documents using document management systems
- Gather relevant information for cases
- Prepare accurate written records
- Provide administrative support such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars, running errands
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to ethical standards
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and consistency
- Perform data entry tasks to update case files and client information
- Prefer experience with Clio, Odyssey, Lexis
Experience:
- Previous experience as a paralegal assistant or in a similar clerical role is preferred
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficient in using computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
