POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is in Spartanburg, SC at our Roger Milliken Center and is part of Milliken’s Chemical Division. The Customer Service Coordinator is responsible for delivering the highest level of customer experience possible from order entry through invoicing. Success in this role requires the ability to quickly analyze order data, determine and execute next steps while providing the most pleasant customer experience possible (both internally and externally). The position reports directly to the Division Customer Service Manager.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze, determine, and execute steps of the order to invoicing process (order entry, audits, order conditions, shipping communication, and coordination with all the required business functions and customer) for assigned business and profit centers
Review product availability (inventory) in accordance to product and plant specifications (performing math conversions between imperial and metric systems and various units of measure)
Utilize our follow-up processes on all on pending orders (high volume)
Manage a high volume of email (personal and team inboxes) 100 daily
Advocate for the customer within all departments optimizing customer satisfaction
Build and maintain excellent customer relationships (both internally and externally) as a support to account management
Perform weekly and month end processes (reports, order reviews, customer complaints, etc.)
Provide order management support outside of assigned areas whenever workload balance is needed
Responsible for self-development (maintain in-depth working knowledge of the company’s brands, systems, products, and processes)
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED
Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant customer experience and operational support experience
Highschool diploma or GED equivalent
Critical thinking and analytical skills
High level of care in work product (attention to detail)
Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams)
Written and verbal communication skills (heavy emphasis on the written)
Ability to perform mathematical concepts and conversions
Thrive in a team environment (if you prefer working independently this role is not for you)
Soft skills (the ability to demonstrate personal attributes that enable you to interact effectively and harmoniously with other people)
The successful candidate will have strengths in the following:
Proficiency in SAP
Demonstrated initiative and self-management
Bachelor’s degree or working on it
