POSITION TITLE
R&D Regulatory Specialist, Textile Division
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position will support the Textile Division’s regulatory team in ensuring all businesses and products comply with all applicable laws and regulations across the globe. This position requires initiative to address questions and research independently while being able to collaborate with representatives from various functions to address regulatory responsibilities. The applicant will be involved in collecting data and maintaining regulatory reports. This position is located at Milliken & Company’s corporate headquarters in Spartanburg, SC and reports through the Textile R&D organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Customer Compliance Request system while maintaining appropriate documentation
Develop and maintain process to discover, analyze, communicate, and verify new laws or regulations
Analyze articles and legal documents
Distribute articles or communications to relevant parties
Collaborate with teams from legal, manufacturing, R&D, etc.
Utilize data from various software systems to address customer requests
Any other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications – Required:
Bachelor’s degree
Ability to read and analyze legal documents and articles
Ability to communicate and interact with other associates, contractors, vendors, and the general public, while exhibiting discretion, voice control, and confidence
Proficient in SAP and MS Office Suite and ability to learn additional software systems
Initiative to work alone on broad variety of projects
History of collaborative spirit and organizational skills
Qualifications – Preferred
Knowledge of Milliken textile plants & products
