Job Title: Supply Chain Manager, Milliken Dewey Plant

Job Summary: This position is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of the supply chain process for the Milliken Dewey Plant. The position is located in Inman, SC and reports directly to the Chemical Manufacturing Supply Chain Manager and dotted line to the Dewey Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning (MRP), inventory control, warehousing, shipping, receiving, and plant customer service
  • ordering raw materials
  • production planning and scheduling
  • warehouse and distribution
  • storage of raw materials and finished goods
  • on time delivery
  • shipping accuracy
  • Inventory management
Establish collaborative relationships with key suppliers, business supply chain managers, sourcing, manufacturing, development, customer service and sales/marketing that ensure all aspects of the process operate successfully throughout the total supply chain

Identify and implement continuous improvement to the supply chain process. Provide support for development or modifications of existing or new supply chains to drive growth and cost reduction.

Implementation and maintenance of lean principles and practices

Understand and effectively use the SAP planning systems to manage master data, production, planning and warehouse functions.

Train, develop, and coach supply chain and warehouse/shipping associates who are direct reports.

Manage inbound railcar inventory

Education - Required:
BS degree, engineering or supply chain preferred, or equivalent Supply Chain certifications/work experience

Work Experience:
Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or supply chain, chemical preferred
Minimum 1-2 years of experience managing people

Special Skills/Knowledge:
Proficiency with SAP preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
