POSITION REPORTS TO:
Senior Production Manager
Operator has the responsibility to identify any non-conformity in the Quality System as it relates to their area of responsibility and report it to the Production Manager, P.I. Department or ISO Management representative.
Packages must be placed on creel pine rewinding. Creel pins are 6 to 12 inches from the floor, will set in 400 to 500 pkgs per shift weighing ½ to 9 lbs. each. Average package weight 1 to 4 lbs. each.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify yarn tube color and recognize defective yarns.
- Push cart to production floor
- Cut yarn from tubes, recycle mixed or damaged yarn
- Ensure proper stock identification
- Full packages must be doffed, doffed packages must be placed with correct blend and lot number
- Operate tugger
- Use compressed air to blow off
- Place empty tubes into holder
- Place packages on creel pin for rewinding
- Label tubes
- Reel off yarn on each returned tube
- Correct placement of labels in tubes
- Sort damaged or cracked tubes for recycling
- Stack empty boxes and pallet bottoms as needed
- Sort strapping from tube boxes
- Cleans work area
- Operate back winder as needed

WORK ENVIRONMENT/SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION
This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position is a safety-sensitive position and regularly works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. Noise level is generally loud. Temperatures can be more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity level can be more than 98% for 100% of day.
SHIFT/WORK HOURS
Shift schedule will depend on open positions at time of hire and will be communicated with new hire paperwork. Weekends and holidays are scheduled depending on business demands.
