Responsibilites
- To be responsible personally for the operation of the Engineering Department
- To cooperate with all other department managers in the solution of any problems of which I may be of assistance.
- To maintain an effective preventative maintenance program on utilities and building.
- To maintain the monorail hoist and cleaning systems, air condition g system, electrical system, and water system.
- Provide for maintenance and design requirements for the grading frames.
- Provide for machinery layout.
- Obtain quotations, proposals, and bids on work within the plant engineering function.
- To coordinate work with outside contractors.
- Maintain and control of the shop.
- Provide for janitorial services.
- Assist in providing for and maintaining legal requirements.
- Provide for waste and refuse removal.
- Provide for preventive and repair maintenance on take-pus and on electrical components of the looms.
- Provide maintenance and improvements on yards and grounds.
- To maintain the lift trucks, tuggers, and other similar equipment.
- To make recommendations as related to equipment purchases.
- To assist in preparation of SER’s.
- To coordinate with DMSC.
- To keep Plant Manager informed as to status of project work and equipment conditions which affect plant operation.
- To handle or refer to Hunan Resources Department all personnel problems or questions.
- To comply with all company policies.
- To maintain good labor and materials costs.
- To set up and maintain an effective fire brigade.
- To maintain an effective plant security system.
- To maintain an excellent safety record.
- To meet as closely as possible the recommendation and/or regulations of OSHA, Liberty Mutual, FIA, and Factory Mutual.
- Coordinate chemical hazard program.
