What this position entails
IntelliScript’s Product Management department is a key part of our success and is critical to our future. As a Product Owner working with an Agile team of Software Developers, Quality Assurance Engineers, and Business Analysts, you will help bring the Curv® product vision to life through the continued growth and enhancement of our core products that drive value for our clients.
The ideal candidate will have big ideas and strategies that foster an environment of collaboration and creativity. We need someone who has an entrepreneurial mindset for distilling business value and goals into roadmaps and refined product backlogs. Most importantly, we need a Product Owner who can help us build better products.
What you’ll be doing
- Drive new feature and new product development for Milliman’s Curv® suite of products focused on applying machine-learning and AI to estimate healthcare cost and evaluate morbidity and mortality risk
- Work closely with Agile team members, and be the final arbiter of requirements conflicts and/or questions surrounding priority and requirements
- Defines the acceptance criteria for all user stories
- Accept/reject the delivered code from within each sprint
- Responsible for the prioritization and development of ongoing bug fixes, technical enablers, and product enhancements, and creating and prioritizing user stories within the team backlog
- Serve as the Agile team’s single-point-of-contact on behalf of business stakeholders / users / customers
- Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders/users/customers
- Continually engages and communicates with business stakeholders / users / customers on forthcoming deliverables so that their feedback is incorporated as part of sprint planning
- Lead team scrums to define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, and communicate with stakeholders across the product lifecycle
- Negotiates priorities between competing stakeholder interests at the user story level and then collaborates with team to ensure that the highest value deliverables are completed within the sprint
- Translate feedback from clients via the Curv® sales and relationship management team to future product features
What we need
- Mitigate roadblocks to achieve sprint/release goals
- 4 years of professional experience in one of the following industries: software, healthcare, insurance, clinical trials, or similar fields
- Experience working with Jira or other Agile Project Management tools
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, including interviewing skills for engaging with individuals and groups about their needs and asking the right questions to surface essential requirements information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels, with an ability to convey results in written reports and presentations in a clear and concise manner
- Highly developed relationship skills and the ability to establish credibility and influence within the internal organization
- Ability to focus development teams to ensure successful translation of requirements into high-quality product deliverables
- Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices
- Sense of curiosity and open-mindedness in approach to solutions to meet stakeholder needs

Location
This position will be based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI; however, this position is open to remote work. Applicants must be willing to travel to the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI as needed.
The salary range is $95,000 to $195,000, depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, skills, certifications, and location. If relevant experience is less than 7 years the range would be $95,000 to $155,000; for experience of greater than 7 years, the range would be $120,000 to $195,000. In addition, we offer a performance-based bonus plan, profit sharing, and generous benefits.
