Our Northwest Indianapolis client is searching for an Inventory Planning Analyst who will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, analyzing trends, forecasting demand, and ensuring smooth supply chain operations. You will work closely with various departments, including procurement, operations, and sales, to support business goals and ensure the efficient flow of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and management of demand forecasts based on historical data, sales trends, and seasonal demand.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels to meet business demand while minimizing overstock and stockouts.
- Track all purchase orders, including shipments, invoicing, arrival times, and fulfillment timelines, while monitoring high-volume items for accurate vendor fulfillment.
- Maintain item data master files for all active items within the sales planning function, ensuring data integrity.
- Regularly communicate with internal stakeholders (sales, procurement, warehouse) to ensure inventory needs are met.
- Monitor backorders and SKU transitions, generating weekly status reports.
Requirements:
- BA / BS degree in business or supply chain logistics or related field required.
- 1-3 years' experience in high volume inventory planning required.
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English required.
- Advanced or expert excel skills required.
- Advanced SAP, and SAP BI skills preferred.
- Experience using ERP system(s) and Microsoft office.
Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
