What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Nursing Officer position at Millinocket Regional Hospital?
Millinocket Regional Hospital has an opening for a full time Chief Nursing Officer in our Medical/Surgical Services/SCU departments.
Qualifications:
- RN with a BSN required. MSN, MHA or related degree preferred.
- Demonstrated nursing leader with 7-10 years of progressive acute care nursing management experience.
- Previous CNO experience strongly preferred.
Main Function:
The CNO leads the nursing department, ensuring appropriate staffing, care delivery, standards of care, quality and adherence to budgetary guidelines. Must be a strong leader, manager and communicator, skilled at negotiation and conflict resolution. Consults and advises the hospital CEO on options and policies.
Provides input and shared responsibility for overall hospital strategies, goals and achievement of mission, vision and values. Functions as a part of the senior administrative team. Is an educator and mentor to nursing administration.
General Information :
This is a full-time salaried director position. 40 hours per week.
