Your Role
The Maintenance department is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the 24/7 facility including building and equipment for offices, laboratories, manufacturing, and warehousing.
This position is responsible for day-to-day supervision of the maintenance department, takes part in and leads the Maintenance department’s safe working environment and ensures all department personnel follows all corporate, departmental and government safety regulations.
- Oversee the CMMS for all Work Orders, PMs, and Spare Parts Inventory.
- Ensure Maintenance Work Orders are completed in compliance with site procedures and business objectives.
- Ensure Preventative Maintenance plan is current and effective.
- Ensure completion of required department documentation, both quality systems and department specific.
- Support Production department by providing technical assistance in troubleshooting and optimization of site processes.
- Direct, plan, schedule and report all activities as it relates to maintenance repairs. This includes all demand, preventive, predictive and calibration activities.
- Communicate accomplished work by establishing priorities and tracking metrics.
- Assists in the design and construction of engineering projects within the site.
- Counsel and develop personnel, which include reviews, training, and development.
- Personnel performance and provide Guidance.
- Stay current on Technological changes.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
- Be available for weekend and holiday on-call and after-hours duty.
- Walk, stand, reach above the shoulders, use a cellular phone, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk, hear, use hands to operate tools and equipment.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and additional weight with assistance.
- Vision including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- May wear a hard hat, safety shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, a safety harness, protective clothing, and gloves, respirator, and face shield.
- Ability to work at varying heights.
- May take a “fit-for-duty” physical and N95 fit testing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 5 years of experience as a mechanic or calibration technician in an industrial setting.
- 1 years of foreman or supervisory experience.
- Computer skills including MS Office, and similar programs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.
- Ability to use the Change Control Process effectively.
- Ability to assist with Deviation investigations pertaining to Maintenance/Engineering
- Good documentation practices.
- Ability to direct contractors and other technicians in completing work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to generate and lead process improvements.
- Ability to develop and use organizational and 6S skills.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Self-motivated and high productivity skills.
