What are the responsibilities and job description for the Millwork Operations Manager position at Millwork Company?
Here at Master Millwork, we specialize in high-end custom millwork projects for Senior Living, Multi-Unit Apartments & Hotels throughout the Greater Boston Area and New England. We also provide high-end architectural millwork design packages for Restaurants, Nightclubs, Libraries and Schools. We’ve been able to grow and expand our business in the last few years and we’re on the right track to continue that growth.
We are looking for a strong leader to guide our Custom Millwork Department. This person must have a knowledge of millwork and construction to be able to understand what we do. This role involves guiding team members on what tasks they need to do, make sure product is finished on time, organize logistics of finished products, etc. You will also look into future projects to analyze all details to create a the production timeline, order materials, etc.
Skills Required
-Understanding of AWI Cabinets standards
-Understand of millwork products and materials
-Experience with manufacturing at production rates
-Understanding of a production/manufacturing schedule
-Lean manufacturing background preferred
-5 Yr. experience working in a Supervisory role
-Ability to work under pressure
-Ability and willingness to meet deadlines
- Bi-lingual English / Spanish or Portuguese
- maintain proper workflows in order to meet production expectations
-Scheduling in conjunction with the Scheduling department
-Ability to train and coach cross functional team members
-Keep an active inventory of items needed for Production
-Update Shop Manager regarding department status on a regular basis.
-Safety Compliance
-Operations management experience
-Other duties as required by Production Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
