Responsibilities
The People Business Partner is the champion of the Milo’s People First values at the local site. This role engages associates at all points along their Milo’s journey and fosters a work culture of belonging, excellence, and engagement.
Please note, this role will require you to be onsite at our Bessemer location. As our shifts run 5:30AM - 6PM and 5:30PM - 6AM, there will be times where you are needed at the start of/end of each shift.
What You Will Do:
- Be an active listener and a great communicator. Hear what people say, ask engaging questions, and provide solutions that link to our company values.
- Be creative. Always be looking for opportunities to bring joy and efficiency to the work while connecting the everyday to the big picture in goals, programs, objectives, and systems.
- Be aware. Ensure legal compliance by monitoring applicable State and Federal HR regulations.
- Be available and be known. Lead onsite associate engagement initiatives and be present on the floor and in the breakroom.
- Be a coach. From leading orientation, encouraging learning and growth, handling associate relation investigations, and leading performance reviews, pursue the best in your people providing feedback and opportunity for them to reach their full potential.
- Be a teacher. Engage and equip leaders with training that enables them to effectively lead their teams.
- Be an Active Participant. Model and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programs including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
- Be organized. The people world throws curves daily. Being thorough in handling priorities and deadlines will enable management of work in or fast-paced environment.
- This position has responsibilities essential to Food Safety.

Supervisory: This position will have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent, at least three (3-5) years of professional-level human resources experience.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and relationship-building capabilities
- Able to effectively communicate clear strategies and processes to a wide variety of audiences on a high level.
- Able to operate in a fast-paced environment with disciplined organization.
- Superior interpersonal and organizational skills and computer proficiency in MS Office required.
