Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Advocate to join our healthcare team. The Patient Advocate will play a crucial role in supporting and educating patients , ensuring they receive the necessary resources and guidance. This position requires a strong understanding of patient care, managed care, and case management, scheduling and insurance. The ideal candidate will be committed to see the patient has a full understanding of his treatment plan.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients concerns and inquiries related to their care.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate effective communication between patients and medical staff.
- Assist patients in understanding their treatment options, rights, and responsibilities under HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate care plans
- Monitor patient progress and advocate for necessary adjustments in care based on individual needs.
- Understanding all aspects of insurance
Qualifications
- Experience with computers
- Familiarity with insurance verification
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy rights.
- Previous experience desirable but not necessary .
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- A commitment to advocating for patient needs within a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
