The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by establishing and cultivating strong relationships with new and existing clients. The ideal candidate will have a dynamic, engaging personality and a passion for helping organizations address their staffing challenges through tailored solutions. Position : Business Development Manager
Compensation : $80K-$90K Uncapped Commision
Location : Chicago, IL
Primary Responsibilities
Proactively generate new business opportunities through consistent outbound sales activities, including prospecting, virtual meetings, and presentations.
Meet or exceed weekly sales metrics and leverage proven sales methodologies to achieve personal and team revenue goals.
Demonstrate confidence and expertise when presenting contingent staffing solutions to prospective clients, articulating the value of services in addressing their business needs.
Strengthen client relationships by providing exceptional customer service, ensuring high satisfaction levels (as reflected in industry-leading Net Promoter Scores).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, executive leadership, and operations, to drive revenue growth and pipeline development.
Conduct in-depth client discovery to understand staffing challenges, identify opportunities, and deliver tailored solutions that align with client needs.
Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, from C-level executives to hiring managers, to communicate the organization's vision and value proposition effectively.
Foster strong internal partnerships to enhance talent marketing efforts and provide proactive staffing solutions to clients.
Qualifications
2 years of sales experience, ideally within the staffing (contract) industry.
Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales budgets.
At least 1 year of experience in successful phone-based sales.
Proven ability to build and nurture long-term client relationships, with exceptional oral communication and presentation skills.
Resilience in overcoming rejection and maintaining a positive outlook.
