Our client is a highly automated and integrated specialty chemicals manufacturer seeking an experienced Health, Safety, Environmental, and Process Safety Manager to lead their safety initiatives at a newly constructed petrochemical manufacturing site. This position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and process safety regulations, both during the construction phase and ongoing plant operations.
Position : Process Safety Manager
Compensation : $100K-$120K
Location : Proctor, WV
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee safety protocols during construction activities, including heavy lifts, hot work, work at height, and fire safety.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company safety standards on-site.
Manage emergency situations and enforce adherence to best safety practices in large-scale petrochemical construction projects.
Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive HSE and process safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance and industry best practices.
Drive continuous improvement in health, safety, environmental, and process safety performance to create a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible workplace.
Conduct risk assessments, including HAZOP, FMEA, and other process safety methodologies.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations, including the EPA Risk Management Program.
Provide training, audits, and proactive safety leadership to foster a strong safety culture across the organization.
Lead emergency response planning and incident investigation efforts.
Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent are preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE and process safety management, ideally within the chemical or manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and process safety regulations, including OSHA PSM and the EPA Risk Management Program.
Expertise in risk assessment methods such as HAZOP, FMEA, and other process safety tools.
