Job Description : Responsibilities :
Near term : Oversee safety aspects in construction activities such as heavy lifts, hot work, work at height, fire safety, and regulatory compliance.
Strong track record in maintaining safety standards, managing emergencies, and enforcing adherence to regulatory requirements on large-scale petrochemical construction projects.
Long term : Oversee and ensure the health, safety, environmental, and process safety performance of the chemical manufacturing site.
Implement best practices, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in HSE and process safety management systems.
Ensure a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible workplace.
Working Conditions :
Site-based position with occasional travel required for audits, training, or project support.
Must be available for emergency response and after-hours support as necessary.
Required Qualifications & Experience :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health Safety, or a related field.
Certifications : Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent are preferred.
Experience : Minimum of 10 years in health, safety, environmental, and process safety management, ideally in the chemical or manufacturing industry.
Regulatory Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and process safety regulations (e.g., OSHA PSM, EPA Risk Management Program).
Technical Skills : Strong understanding of risk assessment methods (HAZOP, FMEA, etc.) and process safety tools.
