What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregivers for Youth position at Milton Hershey School?
At Milton Hershey School, we are committed to providing a nurturing family-like environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Our residential advisors play a vital role in the lives of these young people, offering guidance and support as they navigate their educational journey.
We are seeking married couples to join our team as houseparents. As a houseparent, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere within your designated student home. This will involve engaging with students on a daily basis, helping them with their daily responsibilities, and encouraging them to develop important life skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. A valid driver's license is also required, as well as the ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
We offer a competitive salary package, comprehensive benefits, and a unique opportunity for married couples to make a difference in the lives of young people. If you are passionate about education and community service, we encourage you to apply.
