Job Description
As a House Parent at Milton Hershey School, you will provide a nurturing environment for our students in a family-like structure. Married couples live on campus and support a group of 8-12 students by managing daily responsibilities including driving, budgeting, and administering medication. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives and be part of a dynamic team committed to their success.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses must be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. You must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. Additionally, you must have a valid driver's license, ability to become certified to drive student home vans, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. High school diploma or GED is required, and both spouses must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students.
