What are the responsibilities and job description for the Couples in Residence position at Milton Hershey School?
Couples in Residence at Milton Hershey School are responsible for creating a nurturing and supportive living environment for our students. This role requires a committed couple to live on-campus and provide guidance, support, and a family-like structure for our students.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with youth, preferably from under-served settings, and be comfortable leading daily devotions and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
As a Couple in Residence, you will work closely with other staff members to provide a safe and supportive living environment for our students. You will be responsible for driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting, as well as participating in activities such as homework help and character development.
In return for your dedication and hard work, you will receive a competitive salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple), comprehensive benefits, and a schedule that includes nine days on followed by three days off.
