Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to become houseparents, providing a loving and supportive environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a houseparent, you will play a vital role in guiding and supporting students through daily activities and responsibilities.
Our flex houseparent program offers a unique opportunity for married couples to make a difference in the lives of young people. With a strong emphasis on academic and personal growth, Milton Hershey School is committed to helping its students succeed. As houseparents, you will be part of a team that values collaboration and mutual support.
The comprehensive compensation package includes a salary of $43,825 per person, comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, relocation assistance, and paid training. The schedule consists of nine days on followed by three days off, with a period of personal time while students are at school. You will also receive three-week paid summer vacation.
Qualifications include experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings, and being legally married for at least two years. Both spouses must be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
