Milton Hershey School seeks experienced couples to serve as House Parents. As a couple, you will provide a nurturing environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Your role will involve managing responsibilities such as guidance, transportation, and healthcare for 8-12 students.
This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people. As House Parents, you will be responsible for creating a family-like atmosphere, leading daily devotions, and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
The ideal candidate will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and they must have been legally married for at least two years. Couples must also be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
A competitive salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple) includes free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more. The school provides relocation assistance and paid training. The schedule consists of nine days on followed by three days off, with workdays including a period of personal time while students are at school. A three-week paid summer vacation is also included.
