Responsibilities
As a flex houseparent, you will be responsible for guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students in a family-like environment. Your duties will include driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, and leading students in daily devotions. You will also be responsible for taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. Both spouses must be comfortable with these responsibilities and demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all staff members serve as role models for students.
Requirements
To be eligible for this position, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, legally married for at least two years, and have a high school diploma or GED. Additionally, you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and hold a valid driver's license. Couples must be willing to become certified to drive student home vans and reside on-campus in student homes.Only fish and one dog of approved breeds are permitted pets. The campus is smoke-free and weapon-free, and alcohol is not permitted while on duty.
