Salary and Benefits
Couples who join our team as Houseparents will receive a competitive salary of $43,825 per person, totaling approximately $150,000 per couple. This includes free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more. Job Description
As a Houseparent at Milton Hershey School, you will provide a nurturing, family-like environment for 8-12 students. You will work closely with your spouse to manage student homes, guiding them through daily activities and responsibilities. This rewarding role requires stability, support, and safety, while encouraging positive development in our students. We are looking for couples who can lead by example and demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all staff members are role models for our students.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you and your spouse should have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. This is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and you should be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited). A high school diploma or GED is required, and you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Couples must also demonstrate a commitment to being smoke-free and weapon-free, and abide by pet restrictions.
