As flex houseparents at Milton Hershey School, married couples play a vital role in providing a family-like environment for our students. They are responsible for mentoring, driving, administering medication, and ensuring a safe and nurturing atmosphere for their assigned group of 8-12 students.
We are seeking experienced individuals who have a passion for working with youth and are committed to creating a supportive and stable home environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings.
The benefits package includes a salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approximately $150,000 per couple), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and a schedule of nine days on followed by three days off.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and guide a group of 8-12 students
- Drive students to various activities and appointments
- Administer medication as needed
- Ensure a safe and nurturing atmosphere in the student home
Requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings
- Must be a legally married couple for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
