Role Overview
Milton Hershey School is seeking experienced couples to provide a nurturing home environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a House Parent, you will guide and support a group of 8-12 students in daily life and education, while managing household responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Living on campus with your spouse and providing a family-like structure for students
- Offering mentoring and support to students, including guiding them through daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services
- Managing household responsibilities, such as budgeting, reporting, and driving student home vans
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you and your spouse should have:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- A valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- A high school diploma or GED, and both spouses must complete an individual employment application
