What are the responsibilities and job description for the Couples in Residence Program position at Milton Hershey School?
About the Role:
Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to become flex houseparents, residing on-campus student homes and guiding approximately 8-12 students. As part of this program, couples will provide a family-like structure for students, handle daily responsibilities, and make a positive impact on their lives.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Reside in on-campus student homes with students
- Provide a family-like environment for students
- Manage daily responsibilities such as driving, medication administration, and budgeting
- Guiding and nurturing students
Qualifications:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Couples must have been legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses should be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students
