Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to join our team as flex houseparents. As a couple, you will reside on-campus and provide a family-like environment for 8-12 students, guiding them in daily activities and personal development.
Salary and Benefits:
Couples will receive a salary of $43,825 per person, totaling approximately $150,000 per couple, which includes free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability options, and retirement savings. Additionally, relocation assistance and paid training are provided.
Job Responsibilities:
As a flex houseparent couple, your responsibilities will include providing a nurturing family-like environment, guiding students in daily activities, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting. You will also be responsible for driving student home vans and leading students in daily devotions and chapel services.
Required Qualifications:
To be eligible for this role, couples must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and they must have been legally married for at least two years. Couples must also be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. A high school diploma or GED is required, and both spouses must complete an individual employment application.
