Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to join our team as Residential Youth Specialists. In this role, you will provide a nurturing environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds residing in on-campus student homes.
About the Position
As a Residential Youth Specialist, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting a group of approximately 8-12 students. You will work closely with your spouse to create a family-like structure, providing daily support and guidance to help students thrive.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and supervision for students
- Assist with daily activities, including homework assistance and life skills development
- Transport students to appointments and activities as needed
- Administer medication and maintain accurate records
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older and have a high school diploma or GED. You must also be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
