About the Role
Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to join our team as Houseparents. As a Houseparent, you will provide a nurturing and supportive home environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This unique opportunity allows couples to make a significant impact in the lives of young students while working collaboratively with their spouse.
Responsibilities
As a Houseparent, your responsibilities will include:
- Guiding and supporting students in a family-like structure
- Providing daily devotions and leading students to Sunday chapel services
- Driving and administering medication as needed
- Overseeing budgeting and managing student homes
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you and your spouse must:
- Have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Be legally married for at least two years
- Be age 27 or older
- Have a valid driver's license and be able to become certified to drive student home vans
