What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family and Youth Support Specialists position at Milton Hershey School?
We are seeking Youth Development Specialists, married couples who will serve as flex houseparents, providing care and mentorship to approximately 8-12 students residing in our on-campus student homes. As flex houseparents, you will be responsible for managing daily routines, driving students to activities, administering medication, and budgeting household expenses.
This role requires individuals with experience working with youth, preferably in under-served settings. Couples must have been legally married for at least two years, be age 27 or older, and have no more than three dependent children residing in the student home. A valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans are also required.
Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all staff members are role models for students. The ideal candidates will be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited).
