What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Care Providers position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School is a world-renowned institution that provides an exceptional education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a House Parent, you will play a vital role in providing nurturing support to our students in a family-like environment.
The ideal candidate should have experience working with youth, preferably from under-served settings. They should be comfortable leading daily devotions and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. Couples must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as they become role models for our students.
Responsibilities:
- Managing daily activities and responsibilities
- Living on campus with the students
- Providing consistent family-like structure for students
- Handling responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc.
Requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Couples who have been legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses should be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
