Couple Opportunities
Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to become flex houseparents, providing a nurturing environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a flex houseparent, you will live on campus with your spouse and guide a group of 8-12 students, helping them develop essential life skills and achieve their full potential.
The role involves managing daily logistics, supporting student well-being, and fostering a sense of community within the student home. You will work closely with other staff members to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.
Schedule and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of $43,825 per person, resulting in a total compensation package of approximately $150,000 per couple. This includes free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability options, and retirement savings.
Our schedule offers nine days on followed by three days off, allowing for personal time while students are at school. You will also enjoy three-week paid summer vacation and have the opportunity to participate in Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must be a married couple with at least two years of marriage experience. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. You will be required to abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus policy and have valid driver's licenses. Additionally, you must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and take students to Sunday chapel services. A high school diploma or GED is required, and both spouses must complete an individual employment application.
