Milton Hershey School is seeking couples to provide a family-like environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As Houseparents, you will play a vital role in guiding and nurturing students while managing various responsibilities.
The position offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and relocation assistance to those willing to live on campus in Hershey, PA. You will reside in an on-campus student home with approximately 8-12 students, providing a consistent family-like structure and handling responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Guiding and nurturing students
- Managing daily activities and schedules
- Assisting with household chores and meal preparation
- Transporting students to and from appointments and activities
- Monitoring students' physical and emotional well-being
Requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Couple must be married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
