What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family-Like Environment Leader position at Milton Hershey School?
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Residential Youth Caregivers at Milton Hershey School. As a Residential Youth Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional, physical, and academic well-being of students. You will live on campus in a student home with your spouse and care for a group of approximately 8-12 students, providing guidance, support, and a stable family environment.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include administering medication, driving students to appointments, and handling various household tasks. You will also be responsible for providing a safe and supportive living environment, promoting positive relationships among students, and encouraging students to develop good habits and routines. You will work closely with other staff members to ensure the overall well-being of students.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you and your spouse must be experienced in working with youth, preferably from under-served settings. You should have a strong understanding of child development and be able to provide a structured and loving environment for students. You must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Sunday chapel services.
