What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Guidance Professionals position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School is a world-class educational institution that provides a career-focused education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. We are seeking married couples to become flex houseparents, guiding and nurturing students in a supportive family-like environment.
As a flex houseparent, you will reside on campus with your spouse and manage the daily responsibilities of caring for a group of 8-12 students. This includes driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting. You will provide a consistent family-like structure for students and help them develop important life skills.
We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and relocation assistance. Our benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability options, and retirement savings.
In addition to our generous benefits package, we offer a unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of young people. As a flex houseparent, you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our students and help them achieve their full potential.
Requirements for this role include experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses must be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. You must also be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
