Supporting Disadvantaged Youth
As a flex houseparent at Milton Hershey School, you will play a vital role in supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds. You and your spouse will provide a family-like environment, guiding and nurturing students, and managing household responsibilities. Your role involves fostering a supportive community, and ensuring students receive the care and support they need to thrive.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and you must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. You must also have a high school diploma or GED, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Both spouses must complete an individual employment application.
