Our Mission
Milton Hershey School's mission is to provide students from low-income families with the tools they need to succeed in life. Our school offers a unique opportunity for married couples to become flex houseparents, living on campus and providing a family-like structure for students.
Flex houseparents play a critical role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of our students. They work closely with other staff members to ensure students receive the care and support they need to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Reside in on-campus student homes with your spouse
- Guide and nurture a group of approximately 8-12 students
- Manage daily activities and welfare of students
- Work closely with other staff members to support student development
Requirements
- Married couples with experience working with youth
- Able to commit to a minimum of two years in the role
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
