What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Support Team Members position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School is a world-renowned institution that provides a unique opportunity for married couples to make a meaningful impact in the lives of disadvantaged students. As Houseparents, you will be responsible for providing a nurturing and structured home environment for students in grades Pre-K through 12.
The ideal candidate couple will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. A valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans are also required.
In this role, you will oversee daily activities, provide support, and serve as role models for your assigned students. You will also be responsible for leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. We welcome candidates who are comfortable with these responsibilities and can demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
The compensation package includes a salary of $43,825 per person, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training. The schedule consists of nine days on followed by three days off, with a period of personal time while students are at school.
