Job Description and Responsibilities
As a houseparent at Milton Hershey School, you and your spouse will reside on-campus and provide a nurturing environment for a group of approximately 8-12 students. Your responsibilities will include guiding students, managing daily responsibilities, and serving as role models within a family-like structure. You will also be responsible for:
- Driving students to activities and appointments
- Administering medication as needed
- Budgeting and financial management
- Reporting and record-keeping
You will initially cover different student homes before being assigned to one specific home. We value flexibility and adaptability in our houseparents, so be prepared to work collaboratively with your spouse and other team members to create a supportive and inclusive environment for our students.
