Job Responsibilities and Qualifications
As a flex houseparent at Milton Hershey School, you will be responsible for providing nurturing and guidance to a group of approximately 8-12 students in a family-like environment. Your responsibilities will include transportation, medication management, budgeting, and reporting. You will be part of a team of married couples who live on campus and work together to support the needs of our students. The qualifications and requirements for this role include experience working or volunteering with youth, being a legally married couple for at least two years, both spouses being age 27 or older, no more than three dependent children residing in the student home, and adhering to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus.
Work-Life Balance
Our schedule consists of nine days on followed by three days off, with workdays including a period of personal time while students are at school. We also provide a three-week paid summer vacation.
