Milton Hershey School is seeking a dynamic couple to become flex houseparents. In this role, you will reside in on-campus student homes and provide guidance and support to a group of students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
About the Role
As a flex houseparent, you will work collaboratively with your spouse to create a nurturing family-like environment for your assigned group of 8-12 students. You will be responsible for meeting their daily needs, serving as role models, and guiding them through various aspects of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide daily care and support to students
* Develop and implement daily routines and activities that promote learning and personal growth
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administrators
* Collaborate with other staff members to ensure students receive necessary support and care
Requirements
* Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
* Couples must have been married for at least two years and both spouses should be 27 years old or older
* High school diploma or GED required
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
* Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity and serve as a role model for students

* Competitive salary: $43,825 per person (total compensation package approx. $150,000 per couple)

Additional Information
* Valid driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans
* Couples must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited)
* No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
* Abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
