Milton Hershey School, a world-renowned private school, is seeking married couples to join our team as House Parents. As a House Parent, you will provide a nurturing family-like environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds in grades pre-K through 12.
As a member of our caregiving team, you and your spouse will be responsible for guiding and mentoring approximately 8-12 students. This unique role requires a commitment to serve as positive role models and provide support in various responsibilities including transportation, administration, and daily devotions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a stable and loving family environment for students
- Guide and mentor students in their academic and personal growth
- Assist with transportation and administrative tasks
- Participate in daily devotions and Sunday chapel services
Requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Legally married couple with at least two years of marriage
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
