Milton Hershey School is a leader in education and child welfare, offering a unique career path for couples to become Household Guardians. As Household Guardians, you will provide a family-like structure and support to students in our care, serving as guardians for groups of 8-12 students.
We seek couples who share our commitment to education and child welfare, with experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from underserved settings. As Household Guardians, you will manage household duties, nurture students, and promote their social-emotional growth, while also serving as role models and mentors.
This role requires a high degree of integrity, compassion, and dedication. As Household Guardians, you will be responsible for:
- Managing daily household duties, including meal preparation and cleaning
- Nurturing students and promoting their social-emotional growth
- Serving as role models and mentors to students, demonstrating positive values and behaviors
- Providing guidance and support to students in their academic and personal pursuits
In return, you will receive:
- A salary of $43,825 per person (total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple)

- A schedule of nine days on followed by three days off, with personal time while students are at school
