As a flex houseparent couple, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting your assigned group of students, handling daily responsibilities such as transportation, medication administration, and budgeting, while ensuring the well-being and development of each student.
This role requires a commitment to the values of Milton Hershey School: a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, a caring environment, and a dedication to the development and well-being of our students.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
As a flex houseparent couple, your responsibilities will include:
• Providing a consistent family-like structure for your assigned group of students
• Handling daily responsibilities such as transportation, medication administration, and budgeting
• Ensuring the well-being and development of each student
• Participating in daily devotions and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited)
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualities:
• Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
• Be legally married for at least two years
• Be at least 27 years old
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
