We are seeking a Houseparent Couple to join our team of dedicated professionals who provide a family-like atmosphere for our students. As a Houseparent Couple, you will be responsible for guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students, creating a consistent structure and stability in their lives.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be a motivated and compassionate couple with a passion for working with youth. You will be responsible for ensuring the physical, emotional, and educational well-being of your assigned students, while also contributing to the overall mission and values of Milton Hershey School.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and supportive living environment for students
- Nurture and guide students in their personal growth and development
- Collaborate with other houseparents and staff to ensure student success
- Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- A high school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Couples must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
