Houseparent Couples Needed for Milton Hershey School

Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to become part of our team as houseparents. As a houseparent, you will provide a nurturing family-like environment for groups of 8-12 students, guiding them in their daily activities and ensuring academic success. This unique role requires couples to work together, bringing their life experiences to support children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Salary and Benefits

• A competitive salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple)

About the Role

As a flex houseparent, you will reside in an on-campus student home and guide a group of approximately 8-12 students. You will handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, and leading students in daily devotions. Couples must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.

We are looking for couples who have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. This is a two-person job that requires both spouses to meet certain qualifications, including being legally married for at least two years, having a valid driver's license, and being able to lift up to 50 lbs.
